River Day Blessing with Maryellen Baker and Karen Donahoe
River Day Blessing with Maryellen Baker and Karen Donahoe
June 2nd has been designated by the One Mississippi organization as “National Mississippi River Day,” a day for communities across the country to celebrate the river that connects them! Join with Maryellen Baker and her daughter, Karen Donahoe, both from the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe tribe, for an Indigenous Welcome and Water Ceremony, to honor the water which flows through the river.
Please note that the River’s Edge Plaza is an open-sided pavilion, offering protection from rain. This event will be cancelled in the case of strongly inclement weather.
No cost to attend. Walk-ins are welcome but RSVPs are encouraged. Please RSVP online at shalomretreats.org or by calling 563.582.3592 by noon on Monday, June 1.
