The Finley Health Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of Amy Schauer, MAC, to the team as the new Director of Development, effective September 3.

Schauer brings over 20 years of nonprofit experience to Finley Hospital. She will be responsible for major gift fundraising, planned giving, and securing grant awards.

Schauer most recently served as the Executive Director of the Stonehill Benevolent Foundation in Dubuque. While there, she created and directed the fundraising campaigns that raised $8 million in project support. Schauer is a member of the Dubuque Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, previously serving as President, is a current board member of the Foundation for Dubuque Public Schools and serves on the on the Park and Recreation Board for the City of Asbury.

“I am excited to bring Amy’s talents to the Finley Health Foundation team,” says Barbara Potts, the Finley Health Foundation Executive Director. “In her role as Director of Development, Amy will further complement our team approach to fundraising and bring new insights that will be key to building on philanthropic support to Finley Hospital and the Dubuque VNA as we support the delivery exceptional healthcare in the communities we serve.”

The Finley Health Foundation provides financial support to UnityPoint Health – Finley Hospital and the Dubuque Visiting Nurse Association via ongoing fundraising activities, including the cultivation and solicitation of gifts from private individuals and families, area corporations, foundations, and government entities that can be used to support operations, clinical programs, and major capital projects.
