Midwest Health Clinic opens September 3 in new location
Use new South Entrance to access Clinic, Rehabilitation Services, and Galena Roasters Bistro at Midwest Medical Center
GALENA, IL— September 3 will be an exciting day at Midwest Medical Center in Galena.
On September 3, Midwest Health Clinic (Galena office—Internal Medicine, Family Practice, and Specialty Clinic) will open in its new location in the Midwest Medical Center expansion. Patients will now use the new, canopied South Entrance to access clinic providers and rehabilitation services (physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy).
Two added bonuses on September 3: Galena Roasters Bistro will open in the new South Lobby,
and the Fitness Center will open its new lower level featuring an indoor walking track, additional weight equipment, an athletic training area, and two studio classrooms.
The Fitness Center is accessed through a separate entrance just beyond the South Entrance (canopy). When the expansion is complete, the Fitness Center will be offering 24/7 access.
This move and department transitions complete Phase 1 of the $35.5 million expansion project for Midwest Medical Center. Phase 2—currently in progress—includes demolition and remodeling of the former rehabilitation services area, fitness center, and clinic. Total project completion is slated for Spring 2025, when the community will be invited to a grand opening celebration.
“We are excited to be moving into our new expansion and offering even more services for our community. We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated team that has gone above and beyond to reach this milestone. Thank you for your support and patience during this construction project. We look forward to celebrating project completion in April,” said Tracy Bauer, Midwest Medical Center president and CEO.
