Betty A. Gonner

Betty was born on September 7, 1933 to Hilda (Becker) & Albert Frank in rural Jackson County. She married Milton Gonner on May 8, 1954, in Galena, Illinois. He passed on March 23, 2016.
Betty worked for the Bellevue Community Schools as a paraprofessional for over 20 years. She loved to sew, embroider, and quilt. While at Mill Valley, Betty painted 32 paintings with Dave Eischeid through the Bellevue Arts Council.
Survivors include her children Joan (Rich) McKim, Douglas Gonner, Mary (Michael) Petrek, Lori (Todd) Byerly, Paula Villhauer, and James Gonner. Betty has 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-greatgrandchild on the way. Her surviving siblings and in-laws include Marvin Frank, Phyllis (Merlin) Wienen, Gary Frank, Ruth (Donald) Busch, Elsie Frank, Kenneth (Sandy) Frank, and Carma Frank.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Gary Gonner, daughter-in-law Linda Gonner, siblings and in-laws Arlene Frank, Lloyd Frank, Delcailee “Tiny” Frank, Mary Lou Frank, Kathleen (James) Cloos, Norma (Tom) Crouch, Lloyd (Judy Till-Kolker) Gonner, Merlin (Marcellene) Gonner, Glenna (Mark) Kueter, and David (Karen) Gonner.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Mill Valley not only for caring for their mom’s health needs, but also for the love they showered her with.
Memorials will be gifted by the family to organizations that were dear to her.
