It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darlene Ann Block, of Maquoketa, Iowa on January 9, 2025, at the age of 84. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Dubuque Memorial Gardens.

Darlene was born on January 8, 1941, in Colorado Springs, CO the daughter of Kenneth and Marilyn (Cuddy) Stokes.

Darlene met the love of her life, Robert Block, and married on December 18, 1965, together they shared 43 years of marriage until his passing on December 26, 1008.

Darlene enjoyed working with her hands, she loved to crochet, make afghans and baby blankets.

She is survived by her children Robert (Tracey) Block, of Dubuque and Tim (Tammy) Block of Maquoketa, IA. Her grandchildren, Rob, Derek, Mitch, Katie and Felicity along with three great grandchildren, Liam, Lana and Emilia.
