Kevin M. Stuart, age 59, of Peosta, was called home peacefully on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, surrounded by his loving family. To celebrate Kevin’s life, family and friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., on Friday, June 1, 2018, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street.

Kevin was born on October 14, 1958, in Dubuque, Iowa, son of George and Beverly (Cable) Stuart.

Kevin enjoyed growing up in Dubuque, surrounded by family and friends, and was always proud to have attended Dubuque Senior High School. Kevin was a fun loving, tender-hearted, free spirit, who continually looked forward to any opportunity to make others laugh. In his free-time, Kevin was an avid sports fan and an afternoon of watching his beloved Indianapolis Colts play football was always an acceptable outcome for the day. We are definitely going to miss our dear Kevin, who we accept was destined to live his life to the fullest, with no apologies or regrets. His 59 years here with us were surely to short for us to feel comfortable with today, but we know that he is finally at peace from his recent health struggles, and we trust that the Lord has a plan in everything and thankfully He will provide faith and healing in time to help our hearts mend from this sudden and tragic loss. Thank you Kevin for the laughs, memories and stories which are uniquely yours, and we’ll hold you safe in our hearts until we see you again in time.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents.

Kevin’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the University of Iowa Hospital for all of their kind and professional care of Kevin and his family.

In lieu of flowers, a Kevin M. Stuart memorial fund has been established.
