Lynn M. Carr

Lynn M. Carr, 56, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025.

Friends and family may visit from 9:00 a.m.to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Sacred Heart Filmore Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, is assisting the family.

Lynn was born on November 29, 1968, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Gerald John and Margaret Ann (Dolphin) Carr.

Lynn earned both her Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Religious Studies from Iowa State University. Throughout her life, she faced numerous health challenges with resilience. After a courageous nine-year battle, she lost her life to breast cancer. Her beloved dog, Teddy, was a source of immense joy, comfort, and companionship during her journey.

Lynn cherished her family, especially her nieces and nephews, and had a generous heart that touched everyone around her. A dedicated environmentalist long before it became mainstream, she championed sustainability throughout her adult life. She had a deep love for travel, always eager to explore new places, foods, and cultures. An exceptional bread maker and a devoted chai tea latte enthusiast, Lynn will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lynn is survived by her sister Lisa M. Carr, brother Kevin (Kelly) Carr, nieces and nephews Kristal Kruse, Kenneth Carr, Jerry Carr, Kristin Carr, and Jake Griffin, aunts and uncles Janet Dolphin, Patricia Schuster, Jean (Edward) Carr, Dennis (Maxine) Dophin, Margaret (Robert) Schlarmann, Michelle (Michael) Manternack, and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Margaret, her brother Lennon Carr, grandparents LeRoy & Laverne Dolphin and William & Marguerite (Carlson) Carr, her great aunt Evelyn Coohey, and aunts and uncles Elizabeth (Patrick) Rogers, James (Sharon) Carr, Thomas Dolphin, and Edward Dolphin.
