Marcia Eileen Hunter passed away peacefully at Jackson County Regional Health Center in Maquoketa, Iowa on February 4, 2025, at the age of 78.

Born on November 28,1946 in Manchester, Iowa to Walter and Marilyn (Siddell) Webber. Marcia is survived by her sisters Amber, Wanda and Mardella, a niece Tracy and a nephew Jon.

After graduating from North Fayette County High School Marcia married Galen Hunter. Marcia and Galen lived in the Wyoming, Iowa area for many years, they then moved to Maquoketa. After Galen passed away Marcia eventually moved to Jackson Ridge Healthcare Center in Maquoketa where she spent her remaining years.

Marcia had a love of the outdoors and gardening. She was also very much a people person. She loved her caregivers and was loved by them in return. Marcia enjoyed helping others and being the door greeter at the center, she had many jobs that all involved helping others. She brought laughter to many and enjoyed sharing stories, recipes and pictures of herself and those she cared about.

Rarely without sunglasses (especially the red rimmed ones) she would delight when staff members or visitors would bring in their dogs for which she had a passion. Marcia was truly one of a kind!

A private burial will be held at the Wyoming, Iowa Cemetery.  At Peace Cremation Services have been provided by Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa.
