Rieydah Ghnaimat

Rieydah Ghnaimat, age 22, of Dubuque, passed away at 6:58 p.m., on Monday, December 23, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.  To celebrate Rieydah’s life, family and friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m., on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street.  Memory sharing will be facilitated by Pastor Robert Kimble of the Dream Center at 6:00 p.m. There will be a livestream on the Facebook page of Rieydah Ghnaimat from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  After the services the video will be available on the Facebook page of Lakisha Plummer.

Rieydah was born on June 20, 2002, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Lakisha (Williams) Ghnaimat-Plummer.

Rieydah attended Prescott Elementary, Washington Middle School and graduated from Hempstead High School, Class of 2021.  She worked at Popeye’s and the Grand Harbor for a time.  Rieydah was a talented artist and cartoonist.  She drew portraits of all her family, made her own greeting cards, and countless other projects.  Her art was very diverse.  Rieydah loved making special things for her family that expressed how much she loved and appreciated them.  She lived a lot of life in her 22 short years and will be greatly missed.

a great aunt,
Stephanie Martin, Dubuque, IA;

Tiara Brown and her daughter Tiana Brown
and Chloe Willams and her daughter Luna Williams;

and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Rieydah was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cecil Williams Sr., John and Anniemae Plummer Sr. and Shahiyah and Mousa Ghnaimat; her great-grandparents, Wilbert and Elizabeth Martin Sr.; an aunt, Carolyn Ellick; 2 uncles, Willie Martin and Arthur Leathers; her great-uncles, Wilbert “Jackie” Martin Jr., Jerrell Martin and Gregory Martin; and a cousin, Marshawn Plummer.
