Robert L. “Bob” Willenberg, age 87, of Dubuque, IA, passed away peacefully at 5:05 p.m., on Friday, July 13, 2018, at Sunnycrest Manor. To honor Bob’s life, private funeral services were held. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street, is in charge of arrangements.

Bob was born on August 8, 1930, in Dubuque, Iowa, son of Greg and Frances (Schmitt) Willenberg.

Bob was proud to be a life-long Dubuque resident, who put his love of drawing to use as his working trade. He had a great love of the golden era of film and enjoyed watching classic movies and admiring the stars of that era. Bob was also a very simple man who was able to routinely find pleasure in the more basic moments of life. Sitting down with a hamburger, fries and a rootbeer was all Bob required to consider his day a successful one. We will miss Bob, but we are definitely grateful for the memories he leaves behind and the light he shared while he was here with us. We will miss you Bob!

Bob is survived by

several cousins.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and his favorite landlord, Joseph Wagner.
