Rosey was born February 7, 1946, in LaMotte, Iowa, daughter of Vincent and Alverda (Bonifas) Clasen.  She received her education at Holy Rosary Catholic School in LaMotte and then attended the Dubuque Beauty School.  On January 29, 1966, she was united in marriage to Raymond Stephan at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in LaMotte, Iowa.  She was employed at Theisen’s Supply in Dubuque for over 30 years.

Rosey was a very sweet and kind individual.  She enjoyed crocheting, camping, gardening, bird watching (especially hummingbirds and cardinals), playing cards, listening to old time country music, and enjoying performances at the Bell Tower.  She was forever taking photos, of course her family members were her favorite subjects.  The couple enjoyed traveling together over the years-they have visited 47 states and taken several cruises (Caribbean, Ireland, Alaska, etc).  Most of all she will be remembered and held in our hearts forever, as a wonderful and caring, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish in Peosta, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Raymond Stephan of Peosta, IA; two daughters, Nancy (Gordon) Stevenson of Goose Creek, SC and Sandy (Rodney) Potter of South Bend, IN; five grandchildren, Elisabeth (Ryan) Hulse, Kimberly (Kyle) Woodworth, Grace, and Megdalyn Potter and A.J.
