Virginia M. Juran

Virginia M. Juran, 87, of Holy Cross, Iowa passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Harmony in Dubuque, Iowa.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Holy Cross. Funeral Mass will commence at 2 p.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Tyler Raymond will offiiate.

Virginia was born on April 20, 1937, daughter of Leonard and Frances (Hayes) Clemen. She graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1955. On August 27, 1957 she married William Juran at the Holy Cross Church. She was a member of Holy Cross Parish and a member of the Rosary Society. Virginia worked as a waitress for a few local restaurants and housekeeping at Mercy Hospital in Dyersville where she retired. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She enjoyed reading and going to flea markets.

Virginia is survived by three children, Deb (Dennis) Schmitt of Sherrill, Chris (Diane) Juran of Guttenberg, and Steve (Tammy) Juran of Asbury; seven grandchildren, Becky (Austin) Lawler, Rob (Katie) Schmitt, Justin (Stacy) Schmitt, Megan (Josh) Martin, Nick (Bre) Juran, Ben (Maddy Rooney) Juran, and Rachel Juran; eleven great-grandchildren, Cayden, Grace, Brody, Abby, Lucy, Allie, Jaelyn, Wyatt, Briggs, Mya, and Livia and one due in July; and three step-great-grandchildren: Cooper, Conner, and Carter; her siblings, Kathleen Trenkamp, Edward Clemen, MaDonna (John) Weimerskirch, and Roger (Janie) Clemen; and sisters-in-law, LaVonne Clemen and Mary Clemen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, in 2016; her parents Leonard and Frances Clemen; brothers, Leon, Ambrose, and Cletus; brothers-in-law, Al Trenkamp and Lee Wedewer; and sisters-in-law Rosie Clemen and Grace Clemen.
