A retreat for non-professional caregivers offering self-care, relaxation, and renewal to help you stay mentally, emotionally, and physically well as a caregiver. This is a FREE event. Registration is required. Attendees will choose their breakout sessions in the morning. There will be a vendor fair and lunch. The afternoon keynote address will be "Helping Family Caregivers Avoid Mistakes" by Martin J. Schreiber, former Wisconsin Governor and co-author of the book "My Two Elaines." He will share his experience in caregiving for a loved one with Alzheimer's and lessons learned throughout his journey. This event is organized by Stonehill Communities, the Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging (NEI3A), and Shalom Spirituality Center with grant support from Stackstone Wealth.
