Stargazing with Walter Trentadue
Stargazing with Walter Trentadue
Bring your telescope or share one of ours! Share your knowledge or begin your star-gazing adventure. Check out the stars and night objects with a telescope, away from the city lights and on the edge of the Mt. St. Francis prairie. Once your eyes are properly dark-adapted, a clear sky with no prominent moon is a showy splendor with bright spots, voids, and intricate rivers of light. Depending on the time of year, a subtle band of smoky light constitutes the outline of our galaxy.
People of all ages are invited to attend; children should be accompanied by an adult. In case of inclement weather, the program will not be held.
Free-will donation only; RSVPs are required for attendance. Please RSVP online at shalomretreats.org or by calling 563-582.3592 by noon on Friday, August 1.
