Ailene V. (Lochner) Dondlinger, 91 of Bellevue, passed on Monday, June 9, 2025.

Funeral Mass 10:30 am, Friday, June 13, 2025 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Springbrook.  Visitation will be 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Hachmann-Mier Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue, additional visitation will be 9:30 am until Mass on Friday at church.  Burial will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Springbrook.

Ailene was born in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Neises) Lochner.  She married Eldred N. Dondlinger on September 16, 1952 at Church of the Nativity in Dubuque, he passed on April 13, 2015.

She was a long-time member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Springbrook.  Ailene and Eldred enjoyed dancing at Melody Mill and the Fairgrounds with friends and family. Before marrying, Ailene worked at Dolter’s Drive In and as a CNA at Mercy Hospital. After marrying, she worked with her husband on the farm and numerous places over the years, always enjoyed meeting new people.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Dale (Joan) Dondlinger and Joan Dondlinger; two grandchildren, Jason (Katie) Dondlinger and Jennifer (Wade Brunsman) Clasen; four great grandchildren, Jaden and Hailey Dondlinger and Rachel and Paige Clasen; a sister, Carolyn (John) Blocklinger; sisters in-law; Adeline Hefel, Julaine Frank; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ailene was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Anna Lochner; her step-mother, Barbara Lochner; her husband, Eldred; siblings, Alfred (Hilda and Melita) Lochner, Lester (Darlene) Lochner, Norbert (Geraldine) Lochner, Clarence (Eileen) Lochner, Dorothy (Art) Riniker, and Joseph (Rose Mary) Lochner.
