Barbara Ann Block, 75, of East Dubuque, IL died August 4, 2021.  Visitation will be at the Mystique Community Ice Center Saturday, August 14 from 2 to 4 pm followed by sharing of memories at 4 pm.  A committal service will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday, August 16 at Dubuque Memorial Gardens.

Barbara was born March 18, 1946 in Dubuque, daughter of Harold “Hal” and Elsie (McNamer) Block.

She started work at Frommelt Industries which later became Rite-Hite Corp, and worked there for over 40 years until her retirement.

Barbara had two passions in her life; her dogs and Hockey.

Her dogs meant the world to her and as she would say, they taught her about unconditional love.

She was an avid supporter of local hockey and the Dubuque Fighting Saints.

Barb also had a heart of gold and would try to help anyone who was in need or pain.

Barb is survived by her brother, Bob (Pat) Block of Summerville, SC; and two cousins, Deborah Block of Dubuque and Toni Hurley of Bellevue, Iowa.

The Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road is in charge of arrangements.
