With great sadness, the family of Bert E. Coffman, 75, of Galena, IL,  announces his passing. He was born on January 22, 1949, in Cuba, MO, one of six children to the late Ray and Eleanor (Egli) Coffman. Bert was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. “To know him was to love him.”  He was a lifetime logger who enjoyed being in the timber.  You could find him spending his spare time with his kids and grandchildren when he wasn’t in the timber. His life revolved around ensuring his entire family was happy and had everything they needed.  Bert loved to be outside fishing, digging ginseng, and feeling the wind in his hair while driving around in his Corvette.  The family will greatly miss his spontaneous visits with a carload of groceries, and Saturday morning breakfast deliveries.
Bert is survived by his five children, Kevin (Kris) Coffman of Dubuque, IA; Scott (Jen) Coffman of  Overland Park, KS; Christopher Coffman, Travis (Brittany) Coffman, and Amanda (Joe) Link, all of Galena,  his ten beloved grandchildren, Regen Coffman, Cole Coffman, Ashlyn Coffman, Logan Coffman, Ty Coffman, Jackson Link, Weston Coffman, Nolan Link, Natalie Coffman, and  Kaden Link, three siblings, JoAnn (John) Marburger, Lucille (Tom) Casey, and Earl (Alva) Coffman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Coffman, sister, Ruth Ann Meyer, a son, Terry Coffman, granddaughter, Aurora Coffman, and grandson, Wilder Coffman.
