Bradley R. Schmitt, 22, of Hendersonville, TN, formerly of Dubuque, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2023 from injuries sustained being a victim of an automobile accident.  Visitation will be held from 3 to 6pm, Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023 at the Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 John F. Kennedy Rd.

Bradley was born on Dec. 20, 2000 in Dubuque, Iowa, to Angelia (Zozaya) Henslee and Greg Schmitt.  At any given time, you could find Bradley attached to his mom’s hip taking him anywhere and everywhere she went.  He enjoyed playing soccer, bowling, skate boarding and spending time with his dad building stock cars. In his free time, you could find Bradley playing games on his PC or hanging out with his cousin, Logan.  His greatest accomplishment was graduating from Dubuque Senior High School, class of 2019 and then going on to a plumbing apprenticeship.

Bradley currently was working on a plumber’s apprentice in Hendersonville, TN where he had lived with his girlfriend, Liberty Jones.  He and Liberty met in high school and were inseparable.  They moved to Tennessee almost 3 years ago where they raised their cat, Cantaloupe.

Bradley is survived by his mother, Angelia (Jerrell) Henslee of Dubuque; his father, Greg (Kellie) Schmitt of Peosta; Siblings, Lincoln and Everley Henslee and Korey and Chase Schmitt; his maternal grandparents, Susana Fasenmyer and Ronald Zozaya; his paternal grandparents, Pam Schmitt and Bill Keehn; great grandmothers Janice Wolf and Darlene Keehn; many aunts, uncles and cousins, including his cousin/best friend Logan.

He was proceeded in death by his maternal grandfather, Chester Fasenmyer, and great grandfathers Paul Wolf and Edwin Keehn.
