Bruce B. Myers, 88, of Farley, Iowa, formerly of Lincoln, Nebraska, died Wednesday, June 3, 2026. A memorial service will be held 10 am Thursday, June 11 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Shelton, Nebraska with inurnment to follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Shelton, where military rites will be accorded.

Bruce was born December 28, 1937 in Lincoln, Nebraska, son of Erving and Juan (Tout) Myers. He served in the US Army.

On October 16, 1960 he married Fay Meyer at Zion Lutheran Church, Shelton.

He was an avid golfer, traveled extensively, and was a big Nebraska Cornhusker fan.

Bruce was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church, Lincoln, Nebraska, and most recently of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Dubuque.

He is survived by his wife, Fay, of Farley, Iowa; sons, Bryan (Lisa) Myers of Farley and Greg (Kippy) Myers of Hernando, Florida; grandchildren, Hannah (Tony) Jasper of Farley, Benjamin (Abby Gloeckner) Myers of Epworth and Jessica (Adam) Davis of Tigard, Oregon; and four great grandchildren, Quade and Kya Jasper and Lily and Parker Davis.

He is also survived by two sisters, Sandra Yarns and Pat (Les) Brase, brother in law Ron (Opal) Meyer and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by two brothers, Erving Myers Jr., and Robert Myers, and sister in law Wilma (Lester) Walcott.
