Camilla was born on January 30, 1930, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Camillus and Marie (Nilles) Rummel.

Camilla lived in Dubuque her whole life where she graduated from the Immaculate Conception Academy.  She was married to Joseph Wells on March 10, 1951, at St. Mary’s Church.  They happily celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary before Joe passed away on October 7, 2017.  Camilla was a very devoted wife, mother and homemaker who also worked at the Five Flags Center as an usher for 10 years.  She enjoyed being with people and looked forward to gathering with her friends in the Immaculate Conception Alumni Association.  Camilla’s faith was also an important part of her life.  She was a long time member of St. Mary’s Church, and when they closed she joined St. Patrick’s Church.  In her free time, Camilla could often be found outside tending her garden, curling up with a good book or creating her next beautiful crochet project.  Spending time with her family definitely brought Camilla her greatest joy.  She will be greatly missed.
