Clare Ann Breithaupt, 90, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on Saturday august 19, 2023 at Stonehill Care Center.

According to her wishes, there will be no public services. A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, is assisting the family.

Clare was born on July 25, 1933, in England, daughter of Arthur and Gladys (Cowley) Hobbs.

Clare is survived by her daughter Lisa A. Breithaupt of Cedar Falls, IA, grandchildren Joshua Schroeder, Heather (Fred Broadwell) Schroeder, and Jodi (Matt) McCarron, great-grandchildren Micah and Bobby McCarron, son-in-law David Schroeder, all of Dubuque, sister Joyce Oakford of Swindon, England, and brother Colin (Pauline) Hobbs of Swindon, England.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Donna Marie Schroeder of Dubuque, IA, parents Arthur and Gladys of Swindon, England, sister Ivy Smillie, and niece Valerie Smillie, both of Lanark, Scotland.
