Constance “Connie” Bastian, 68, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on March 4, 2024, at Ennoble Nursing and Rehab.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road with a service to be held at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Bill Biver officiating. Private burial will take place at Linwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Bastian previously worked at Riverside Bowl for 30 years and later was owner/stylist of Creative Cuts by Connie.

She was born October 11, 1955, in Dubuque, IA, daughter of Joseph and Cecilia (Begley) Frey.  She married Gerald Bastian on April 30, 1977, in Dubuque.

Connie was an avid bowler and was a member of the women’s Dubuqueland 600 Club.  She was a board member of DWBA.  She also enjoyed reading, painting/drawing, gardening and playing cards.

Surviving are her husband Gerald H. Bastian, of Dubuque; Thomas (Amber) Bastian of Peosta; Michael (Brooke) Bastian of Cottage Grove, MN; John (Sara) Bastian of Phoenix, AZ; Two step-children, Amy Bastian of Phoenix, AZ and Brad Bastian of Galena, IL.  five grandchildren: (Kylie, Emma, Matthew, Kaitlyn & William Bastian) & four step-grandchildren (Emon Bastian, Kanisha & Nakara Spates, Mariah McCollum); Six step great-grandchildren (Ka’Marrien, Kamiyah, Za’Niyah, Shaunacie, Josiah & Ezekiel).  One Sister, Rita (Herbert) Bisping of Dubuque; a brother-in-law, James Badger of Dubuque, Leroy Bastian of Dubuque.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; David and Dan “Burger” Frey, two sisters; Kathryn Badger and Carole Pregler-Soppe.
