Dale A. Heinze
Dale Alan Heinze, 65, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on February 6th, 2024.
Friends and family may visit from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday February 15th, 2024, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road.
A Funeral Service will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Deacon Jim Koetz officiating.
Dale was born on January 5th, 1959, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Rose M. Maas and Robert J. Heinze. He graduated from Western Dubuque High School in 2001. Dale worked at Sid’s Beverage on Dodge, WARECO on Rhomberg, Menards in Dubuque, and Happy Joe’s on University. And in his later years helped at his cousin Frank’s autobody shop.
He loved attending stock car races in Farley, Dubuque, and Darlington. He enjoyed cheering Chase Elliot on when watching NASCAR. His favorite trips were the ones he took down to Florida to watch the Daytona 500. He was also a fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and the Chicago Cubs.
Dale loved everyone. He made no hesitation in catching up with whoever he ran into. He kept in touch with his many cousins and friends, and he especially appreciated his good friend Buzz.
Dale is survived by his parents Rose Maas and Robert (Penni Lou (Ehlert) Heinze, siblings Bob Heinze, Lorrie Wortley, Jeff Heinze, Lisa (Randy) Kemp, and Jolene (Jeff) Nasman, 21 nieces and nephews, and 26 great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Dennis Heinze.
