Dale Edward Schmitt, 48, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away February 4th, 2022.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday, February 11th, 2022 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road where a service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Private family burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Dale was born on June 10, 1973, in Dubuque, son of James and Elaine Harry.

Dale enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his pride and joy, his son Jadyn. Dale loved music, especially if it involved playing his guitar. He loved art and truly was an undiscovered artist. He cherished his friends and family that stood by him through his darkest days.

Those left to cherish Dale’s memory include, his son, Jadyn Schmitt, his parents; James and Elaine Harry, siblings; Jeremy Birch, Christopher Schmitt, James Harry, Travis (Krystin) Harry, nephews; Marshall, Hunter, Carter, Cameron, Wyatt and Beau, nieces; Bailey and Eva; special daughter Kaitlin Kohl, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his daughter, Alysha Elaine; sister, Ravon; his maternal and paternal grandparents; special aunts Leona (Tiny) Scott, Letha Schmitt along with many more aunts, uncles and cousins, and his best friend, Jason.
