Danny E. Reeg, 70, of Dubuque, passed away unexpectedly on Monday August 31, 2026.

Per his wishes, no funeral services will be held. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, is assisting the family.

Danny was born on April 27, 1956, in Bellevue, the son of Edwin and Dorothy (Beckley) Reeg. He graduated from Marquette High School in Bellevue. He met his soulmate when their eyes met across the room. He married Nancy Hantelmann on June 1, 1984, in Dubuque. He worked as a distributor for Voortman Cookies. He and Nancy did everything together; seldom did you see one without the other. They especially loved getting together for Reeg family euchre tournaments which were filled with lots of love, laughter and good food. They enjoyed spending time with friends singing karaoke especially their favorite song “Let Me Be There.”

Danny is survived by his siblings: Shirley (Gary) Deppe of DeWitt, Ron Reeg of Tennessee, Terry (Sue) Reeg of Dubuque, Rick (Emily) Reeg of Bellevue, and Amy Reeg of Dubuque; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
