Daryl C. Seiler, 72, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at his home in Dubuque, Iowa.

Friends and relatives of Daryl may call from 3 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at St. Joseph’s the Worker Catholic Church in Dubuque, Iowa, where a wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call after 9 a.m., Wednesday at the Church.

Services for Daryl will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at St. Joseph’s the Worker Catholic Church in Dubuque, Iowa with Rev. Gabriel Anderson presiding. Burial will be held in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Key West, Iowa, with military honors afforded by the United States Navy Honor Guard.

Daryl was born July 9, 1945 in Asbury, Iowa, son of Carl and Irma (Kuntz) Seiler. He is a 1963 graduate of Dubuque Senior High School in Dubuque, IA. He was united in marriage to Betty Schmitt on May 17, 1969 at St. Clements Catholic Church in Bankston, IA. Daryl started out in the drafting department at John Deere. He retired after 30 years at John Deere from the Engineering Standards Department. He went on to be a tour ambassador for 18 years for John Deere.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s the Worker Parish in Dubuque, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Seiler of Dubuque, IA; one son, Dave (Kris) Seiler of Orlando, FL; one daughter, Sandy (Allan) Zuber of Walford, IA; three granddaughters, Ashley, Courtney and Kayleigh; one brother-in-law, Donny Schmitt of Epworth, IA; one sister-in-law, Joyce Schmitt of Epworth, IA; one Godchild, John Olberding of Dyersville, IA; and several aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his parents; both sets of grandparents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Eileen Schmitt.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Dubuque for all their care and support they gave to Daryl.
