Diana Francois, 69, of Dubuque, IA, passed away on September 21, 2023, at home.

Graveside committal services will be at Linwood Cemetery on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.

Diana was born on December 1, 1953, in Dubuque, daughter of Gregory Francois and Janet Alexander Francois.

She received her bachelor’s degree from ISU, she was a social worker for DHS.

Diana married Janet Bird on July 27, 2020, in Hunters Creek, Oregon.

She belonged to The Dubuque Kennel Club, The Sealyham Terrier Club and The American Legion.

Diana will be remembered for her great love of animals.

She is survived by her wife Janet Bird; her sister Sheila Bradley of Asbury, IA; and her brother Gregg (Lorraine) Francois of Wilson, NC. Nieces, and nephews: Tara Otto, Mitch Bradley, Greg Francois Jr., Paige Francois and AJ Francois; great nieces and nephews: Greg Francois III, Colton Bradley, Amaya Otto, Leo Francois, Henry Francois, and Eleanor Bradley

She was preceded in death by her parents Gregory and Janet Francois and her first wife Judy Thill.
