Dominic J. Sweeney, 79, of Zwingle, IA passed away on October 24, 2022 after a short illness.

Dominic was born on November 13, 1942, the son of Justin and Florence Sweeney. During his 79 years of life, he impacted many people’s lives with is strong presence in the AA Community for over 44 years. He also served in the Navy and the Navy Reserves.

He was preceded in death by his parents Justin and Florence and a brother-in-law Eldon Manderscheid.

Dominic is survived by his children Leeann Hamilton, Laura (Brandon) Pollard and Justin Sweeney. His granddaughters Keri, Tiffany, Michaela and Brooklynn. His sister Judy Manderscheid along with nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Dominic’s life will be at a later date. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, Dubuque, Iowa is assisting the family.
