Donna M. McKnight

Donna Marie McKnight, 92, of Dubuque, died Thursday, November 6, 2025, at her home.

Visitation will be from 9:30 am until 10:30 am Monday, November 17, 2025 at Summit Congregational United Church of Christ.

The Funeral Service for Donna will be 10:30 am Monday, November 17, 2025, at Summit Congregational United Church of Christ with Rev. Karen Candee officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Galena, IL.

Donna was born March 3, 1933, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Walter and Marie (Hulscher) Heim. On May 3, 1980, she married Paul Stanley McKnight at Summit Congregational United Church of Christ in Dubuque. He passed away on January 22, 2020.

Throughout her life, she worked at several places including Galena State Bank and Hy-Vee in Dubuque.

Donna was a longtime member of Summit Congregational United Church of Christ. She loved socializing, playing Euchre, and, in her younger years, bowling, and took great pride in caring for her home. She and Paul enjoyed traveling together, making memorable trips to Hawaii, Branson, Alaska, and on John Deere bus trips. Above all, Donna cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne Webster of Wilmington, IL, and Gary (Angela Heidenreich) Webster of Galena, IL; one son-in-law, Robert Broshous of Dubuque; ten grandchildren, Lisa (Jason) Wiegel, Adam (Jayne) Webster, Cassie (Steven Greser) Gold, Cody (Danielle) Anderson, Whitney (Zachary) Bansner, Russ (Ashley) Webster, Nicole Webster, Ashley  (Nate) Mealhow, Adrienne (Darrin) Kaisand, and Alea Broshous; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Marcia Broshous.

A memorial has been established for Summit Congregational United Church of Christ.

The family wishes to thank Donna’s church family, especially Pastor Karen Candee, her dear friends at Eagle Pointe Place, Carrie, Ellen, Candi, and Dean, and also the Eagle Pointe staff for their care, support, and friendship.  A special thank you to Mary Schmit for being such a great neighbor and friend, and to her wonderful neighbors Jeff and Joyce Klauer, and Kim and Tammy Klavitter.
