Dorothy M. Lampe (Heinricy), 97, of Asbury, died of natural causes on September 13, 2023 at Sunset Park Place.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 15, at Church of the Resurrection in Dubuque. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Entombment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born on November 3, 1925, in St. Donatus, Iowa. She married Maurice Lampe on September 1, 1947, at Holy Ghost Church, and they settled in Dubuque. She attended St. Donatus Grade School, St. Columbkille High School, and graduated from the Dubuque Beauty Academy. She was employed for seven years at Roshek’s Beauty Shop, and for 21 years at Loras College. She always considered wife and mother as the most important roles in her life.

Dorothy is survived by three sons, David (Asbury), James (Valparaiso, IN), and Robert (Ankeny, IA).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Emma (Bonifas); sisters Gertrude, Elvira, Delores and Beatrice; brothers Roman, Arthur and Julius; brothers-in-law Roman (Ann Marie), Robert (Irene), Nestor (Evelyn) and Earl (Juan); and her beloved sons Martin and John.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Dubuque.
