Emily E. Streets, 47, of Moline, Illinois, formerly of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away Friday, October 9, 2026, at her home.

Emily Ellen Caven was born January 25, 1979, in Maquoketa, Iowa, to John Caven and Melanie Ann (Jones) Kirk.  She grew up in Maquoketa and graduated from Maquoketa High School with the Class of 1997.  She later received her Nursing degree from Black Hawk Community College.  Emily was married to Scott Streets.

Emily worked for many years as a home healthcare nurse in the Quad Cities.  She was deeply committed to her profession and was known for the kindness, patience, and compassion she brought to every person she cared for.  Emily enjoyed flower gardening and listening to all genres of music.  She loved animals, especially her chicken Eggatha, and cats Barnicus and Pernella.

Emily is survived and lovingly remembered by her son Brigham Streets of Maquoketa; her father John Caven of Maquoketa; her step-father Bob Kirk of Maquoketa; sister Johnora (Ryan) Renner of Maquoketa; brothers Daniel Caven of Chicago, Bobby (Lindsay) Kirk of Maquoketa, and Billy (Brianna) Kirk of Maquoketa; her paternal grandparents Sam and Mary Caven of Baldwin, IA; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Melanie Ann Kirk, brother Jeff Caven, maternal grandparents Nancy Bellmore and William “Dub” Jones, step grandparents Jim and Mary Ellen Kirk, mother-in-law Julie Streets, and her aunt Mary Sweat.

A celebration of Emily’s life will be held from 4 to 7 P.M., Monday, October 19, 2026, at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa.  A Private family burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Maquoketa.
