Franziska M. Redmond, 85, of Dubuque passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024.  Private family services will be held.

Franziska (Sissi) was born in Jihlava Czechoslovakia and after marrying her husband Ronald, they eventually moved from Germany to settle in Dubuque in 1956.

Franziska was a small business owner, an avid bowler in her earlier days, loved gardening and more than anything loved her family.   

She is survived by her husband Ronald Redmond of Dubuque; a son, Randy (Dawn) Redmond of Canton, Georgia; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sonja Koch and a son, Rick Redmond.

The Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Dubuque or the Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens.
