Heather Elaine Dean, 25, of Dubuque died Monday, September 9, 2024.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 18, at Resurrection Catholic Church. The visitation will be from 3 to 7 pm Tuesday at the Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road where there will be a parish wake service at 6:30 p.m. A livestream of the funeral mass can be viewed at www.egelhofsiegertcasper.com.

Heather was born on November 28, 1998, the daughter of Darin and Tina (Barry) Dean.

She graduated from Dubuque Hempstead High School in 2017 and NICC in 2020.

After graduating from NICC she began her career in childcare for Holy Family Catholic Schools at the Holy Ghost Early Childhood Center.

Heather truly loved her brothers…had a great desire to play her trumpet with the Drum Corps, and also had a huge passion to care for the children at Holy Ghost Early Childhood Center.

She is survived by her parents, Darin and Tina Dean; four brothers, Devin (Sheena) of Lafayette, CA, Dillon (Emily) of Cedar Rapids, and Drew and Derrick, both of Dubuque. She is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Phyllis Dean of Dubuque, and several aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Raymond Dean; maternal grandparents, Maurice and Elaine Barry; and several aunts and uncles.
