Jackie Williams

Jackie Williams, 75, of Asbury, died Monday, April 28, 2025, at the Hawkeye Care Center in Dubuque.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 5:45 pm Friday, May 2, 2025 at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory.

The Funeral Service for Jackie will be at 6:00 pm Friday, May 2, 2025, at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory.

Jackie was born September 7, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, IA, the daughter of Robert and Nadine (Weitz) Ganahl . On August 25, 1973, she married Jack Williams at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dubuque.

Jackie graduated from Columbus Catholic High School in Waterloo, IA, and earned her Registered Nursing License from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Dubuque.

She was a Registered Nurse in the ICU at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, a Teacher’s Aid at St. Mary’s Catholic School , and a Parish Secretary at St. Mary’s Church in Dubuque.

Jackie enjoyed creating tie blankets, taking scenic drives, and exploring new places on the weekends. She loved taking trips to the Great Lakes and Door County with her husband, Jack, to see the lighthouses. She was also an avid reader. Above all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Williams of Asbury; two sons, Adam Williams of Dubuque; and Aaron (Billi) Williams of Charleston, SC; four grandchildren, Cole, Corrin, Conner, and Evelyn; three brothers, Jeff (Chris) Ganahl of Minneapolis, MN, John (Rae Kaiser) Ganahl of Madison, WI,  and Joe (Elaine) Ganahl of Brookings, SD; two sisters, Jeanne (Glenn) Lindberg of Cedarburg, WI, and Julie (Brian) Ostermann of Mountain Home, AR; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Ann (Charles) Trenholm of Dubuque, and Janet Fluhr of Dubuque, and life-long friend, Barbara Gooch.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jym Ganahl; and aunt, Jacquie Weitz.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.

Jackie’s family would like to extend a special Thank you to the staff at Hawkeye Care Center for all their care and support.
