Jacqueline N. Bardon

Jacqueline N. “Jackie” Bardon, age 51, of Durango, IA, completed her earthly journey after a brief illness on October 3, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, with her loving family by her side.  To honor Jackie’s life, a Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., at the Church of the Nativity, 1225 Alta Vista Street in Dubuque, IA, with Rev. Andy Upah officiating.  Family and friends of Jackie’s may visit and fellowship for one hour prior to the service at the church.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Jackie’s family.

Jackie was born on March 21, 1972, in Dubuque, IA, a daughter to George and Marilyn (Bainbridge) Langas.  From an early age, she was gifted with an intrinsically visible zest for life perfectly combined with a heart as big as her smile.  Jackie was the brightest light to walk into every room which she graced with her presence.  Hugs would abound and everyone was continually better for having spent even a moment by her side.  She was a proud graduate of Dubuque Senior High School and was united to her soul-mate, James Bardon, on September 24, 1994, in Dubuque, IA, and the two have been inseparable ever since.  They lived, worked, and played together as two truly becoming one.  They have spent the last 5 years at Radio Dubuque where Jackie was the Business Manager and consummate nerve center of the operation.  She had also spent some of her working years in the banking industry as well as with ARC.  Her commitment was always on display and her time and talents never wasted for a single moment.  Jackie was the epitome of a kind and gentle soul with more love to share than could ever be realized in any given day.  Even her fur-babies, Roco and Gordy, enjoyed the unending supply of care and attention they both thrived on.  There simply are no words to describe the sudden absence of Jackie from the daily lives of those who knew and loved her.  This is a void that will never be rectified nor understood and we can only hope to find a way to tolerate this great loss in time.  Thank you, Jackie, for being best part of so many peoples days throughout your all too short 51-year journey among us and may the Lord keep you safe and secure in His grace-filled arms until we all meet again.
