Jean M. Kramer

Jean M. Kramer, 91, of Farley, Iowa, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026 at Unity Point Finley Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2026 at the Reiff Funeral Home in Farley, Iowa, where a wake service will be held at 2:30 p.m., and the Farley American Legion Auxiliary will meet at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue after 9 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Farley, Iowa with Rev. Steven Garner presiding.  Rev. Mark Osterhaus will be concelebrating and Rev. Deacon Ed Goldsmith will be assisting.  Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Farley, Iowa.

Jean was born April 17, 1935 one of the Bankston Triplets, of John, Joan and Jean, children, of George and Marcella (Hoefer) Muller.  She was united in marriage to Leonard Oberbroeckling on September 25, 1956.  He preceded her in death on May 12, 1960.

She was later united in marriage to Marvin J. Kramer on July 27, 1963, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Farley, Iowa.  He preceded her in death on July 3, 2023.

She was employed as a bartender at the legion, and later worked at Modernfold where she was for 30 years, until she retired.

She was a fantastic mother and grandmother, always supporting what ever sport or activity they were in.  She loved to hold the baby’s when they visited.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Farley and a member of the Farley American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her six children, Tom (Cheryl) Oberbroeckling of Marion, IA, and Rick (Wendy) Oberbroeckling of Dyersville, IA, Sherry (Dave) Menke of Cascade, IA, Kevin Kramer of Bettendorf, IA, Marty Kramer of Iowa City, IA, and Karla (Jack) Golden of Farley, IA; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; her triplet sister, Joan Gaul of Farley, IA and sister Mary Ann Kramer of Epworth, IA; and  her brothers and sisters-in-laws, Bernard (Mary) Kramer of Meza, AZ, Ronald (Joan) Kramer of Epworth, IA, Daniel Kramer, David (Lisa) Kramer both of Dyersville, IA and Margery (Jim) Grawe of Marion, Iowa.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael Oberbroeckling on July 4, 2016; a brother, John Muller; three brothers-in-law, Loras Kramer, Jerry Gaul, Vernon Kramer and Daniel Otting; her sister-in-law, Helen Otting and her father and mother-in-law, Louis B. and Coletta V. (Evers) Kramer.
