Jed R. Henry, 40, of rural Dallas Center, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018, at Mercy West Lakes Hospital in West Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Grimes where friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday also at the church. Burial will be at Sunny Hill Cemetery in Grimes.

Jed was born April 30, 1978, in Dubuque, IA, son of Richard and Deborah (Wieser) Henry. He received his education in Dubuque and graduated from Dubuque Hempstead High School in 1996. He continued his education at Des Moines Area Community College studying diesel technology. He then began working for Housby Mack in Des Moines until later becoming employed at Embree Ag in Waukee and was part time farmer and did custom baling for area farmers.

On July 2, 2011 he was united in marriage to Michelle Ware in Saylorville and they made their home in Grimes and more recently had moved to a farm east of Dallas Center.

Jed is survived by his wife Michelle, two sons, Wyatt and Jacob of Dallas Center, his parents Rick and Deb Henry, a sister Sarah (Marc) Matthewson and their daughters Riley and Stella all of Carroll, IA, grandmother Dorothy Henry of Dubuque, mother and father-in-law Bill and Carolyn Ware of Grimes, brother-in-law Billy (Sara) Ware and their son William of Clive, IA and a sister-in-law Kim (Joe) Philippson and their daughters Maykaylee and Cameron of Grimes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
