Jim Dausener, 71, of Epworth, died Monday, July 31, 2023, at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Jim was born February 27, 1952, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Carl F. and Mae A. (Frederick) Dausener. On April 15, 1972, he married Mary Ann Gronau in Dubuque, Iowa.

Jim graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1970. He worked for John Deere Dubuque Works for 30 years. His main focus in life was his family.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Mary Ann of Epworth; his two sons, Jason (Tricia) Dausener of Epworth and Matt Dausener of Mt. Vernon, IA; two brothers, Edward Dausener of Dubuque and Rich (Krista) Dausener of Charleston, SC; and his sister, Jane (Bill) Lesch of Bettendorf.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and father and mother-in-law, Walt and Betty Gronau.
