Joan M. Jansen-Meyer, 73, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024 at home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Miller Funeral Home in East Dubuque.

Family and friends may call from 4 – 7 p.m. on Friday at the Miller Funeral Home in East Dubuque.

Joan was born on December 23, 1950 at Lancaster, WI, the daughter of Daniel and Beulah (Droessler) Loeffelholz. She was united in marriage to Patrick L. Meyer on August 19, 2019 at the Dubuque Arboretum.

Joan was a graduate of the Visitation Academy in Dubuque, the class of 1968 and earned her nursing degree from Highland Community College, Freeport, IL. She was formerly employed at Finley Hospital and worked for various nursing homes. Joan was an avid tennis player and loved her dogs.

Surviving is her husband, Patrick; a son, Isadore Joseph (Dayna) Haverland of Dubuque, IA; and a grandson Wilson Haverland; her siblings, Nancy (Gene) Jaworski of Ypsilanti, MI, Judy (Steve) Smith, Petaluma, CA, Rachel (Tom) Henke, Potosi, WI, Paula (Bart) Bartelme, Platteville, WI, and Steve (Sharon) Loeffelholz, Cuba City, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Beulah, a sister, Mary and a brother Andy.
