Judith A. “Judy” Baker, age 76, of Dubuque, passed away at 12:55 a.m., on Sunday, May 27, 2024, at Stonehill Health Center.  In keeping with Judy’s wishes there will not be any service at this time.  Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street is assisting her family.

Judy was born on December 27, 1947, in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of Frank and Dorothy (Conrad) Baker.

Judy graduated from high school and took some college courses earning her CNA.  She worked in Phoenix, Arizona and Washington State, but eventually made her way to Dubuque where she was employed at Stonehill.  Judy enjoyed spending quiet time at home with her beloved cat Iris, knitting, crocheting, quilting and sewing on her antique sewing machine.  She also liked playing games, collecting antiques and watching National Geographic, Netflix and movies on TCM, she loved classic movies.  Judy will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

8 grandchildren,
Elyse Pixton, Alexander (Sarra) Pixton, Geoffrey Pixton, Crystal (Jeremy) Leemon, Curtis (Lora) Feltes, Corey (Molly) Feltes, David Lehr Jr. and Talia Lehr;

7 great-grandchildren,
Evelyn and Winston Leemon, Wilder and Cecilia Feltes, Ryliegh, Remi and Ryatt Feltes;

and 2 sisters,
Faye (Wayne) Graebic
and Wanda Hunter, both of Arizona.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Shaun Pixton; a great-granddaughter, Dani; and a brother-in-law, Dale Hunter.

Judy’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Stonehill and Hospice of Dubuque for the wonderful care they have provided for Judy these past months.
