Judith ‘Judy’ Ann (Tharp) Glab, 83, of Dubuque, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023, at the Luther Manor Retirement Community in Dubuque, Iowa.

A private memorial will be planned at a later date in Dubuque, Iowa.

Judy was born September 13, 1939, in Dubuque, Iowa to James Tharp and Alice (McWilliams) Tharp. She was a graduate of Dubuque Senior High School. She was a homemaker and worked for Stanley Home Products and then O’Connor Brooks & Co in Dubuque prior to retirement. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed volunteer work at the Open Closet and the Dubuque Symphony.  Judy was a wonderful cook and seamstress.

Judy is survived by her daughters, Laurie Ann (Cocayne) Patterson (Whitney) of Edmond, Oklahoma and Lisa Marie (Cocayne) Peterson (Mitch) of Littleton, Colorado; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. She is also survived by a brother, Johnny Tharp of Washington state. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and second husband, Gene Glab. Burial will be next to her grandparents, John and Annie McWilliams in McGregor.
