Judith E. Hall
Judith Ellen Hall passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 3rd, 23 days shy of her 84th Birthday.
“Judy” was born on December 26th, 1940, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Charlotte (Patterson) and George Mullady. Judy married James (Jim) Andrew Hall on February 12th, 1959.
Judy graduated from Dubuque Senior High School. Judy was proud to share she started her career as a waitress at Timmermans Supper Club and ended her career in her favorite role as Activity Coordinator at Stonehill Care Center where she continued to volunteer 2 days a week for 7 years after her retirement.
Judy was known to spontaneously arrive at the homes of neighbors, children, and friends with a plate full of her delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies and a bit of humor to share.
She was a caring daughter, loyal wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a phenomenal cook, and a good friend to all.
Judy is survived by and was most proud of her most prized possessions her six children including Christine Hall, Kelly McMahon, Kimberly (Paul) Kramer, and Jennifer (Kevin) Wernimont of Dubuque, Corrine Hall of Cedar Rapids, and Jeffrey Hall of Mesa Arizona.Judy is also survived by her precious 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are 1 brother Shannon Mullady of Maine, her sister-in-law Ann Price of Dubuque, her aunt Helen Patterson of Indiana, and many nieces and nephews.
Judy is preceded in death by her husband James (Jim) Hall, her parents Charlotte Pigg and George Mullady, her sisters Patricia Strang and Kathleen Hemmer, her brother Judd Mullady and in-laws Verna and Louis Metz, Joseph and Ann Hall, Fred Price, Mary Schiel, Edward “Pat” Hall, and Wilma and Robert Burns.
Per Judy’s wishes, private burial services were held. A memorial fund has been established and memorials may be sent to Egelhof, Siegert, and Casper Funeral Home 2659 John F Kennedy Rd, Dubuque, IA 52001.
Judy’s family wishes to especially thank Dr. Amy Winsky, Dr. R S Ramabadran, and Dr. Mark Janes at Medical Associates, Dr. John Whalen of Grand River Medicine and their incredible nursing staff for Mom’s exceptional, professional health care provision over the years. Special thanks to Dr. David Oppert for saving her life in 2001 and blessing us with 23 more years with Mom.
