Kathy M. Schueler, 76, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on May 15th, 2026, at Stonehill Health Center with her daughter and best friend Nancy by her side.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Rd. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Jim Schmitt officiating. Her burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery. The family request you wear pink, Kathy’s favorite color.

She was born on September 20th, 1949, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Cumpton) Willman. Kathy graduated from Dubuque Senior High School and attended Capri and was crowned the Capri Cosmetology Queen.

She worked at Dubuque Packing Company and at Nordstrom until her retirement.

Kathy loved her children, and her grandchildren were her pride and joy; she loved attending their events and supporting them anyway she could. She loved music, taking trips with her friends and the beach sitting out in the sun.

She was blessed with the best friends anyone could ask for; Nancy, Terry, Linda, Ruth, Dawn, and Kelly. You were all amazing until the very end.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Bobbi) Schueler Jr., Tracy (Pat) Nolan, Shaun (Jaime) Schueler, all of Dubuque; grandchildren, Jordan (partner MaKrae Rapp), Morgan (fiancé Brian Paez), Brandon (partner Cailee Brazier), Jacob, Ryan, Devin (partner Peyton Helling), Logan, and Lakelon; great grandchildren: Peyton, Indy and Scottie Jo; siblings: Bob and Sandy Willman, Judy and Tom Firzlaff, and Jane Gassman, along with many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank her caregivers with Hospice of Dubuque especially Jeremiah, Cindy and Justice, even though mom made it her mission to prove you wrong. To Stonehill, you are absolutely amazing and top notch. She was truly taken care of by angels, especially Felishia, Rachel, Narda, Melanie, Madison and Jayme along with so many countless others through her journey.

In lieu of flowers a Kathy Schueler memorial fund will be established.
