Kenneth Rang, 89, of Dubuque, passed away September 24, 2026, at home.

In keeping with his wishes, a visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00p.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 JFK Road, Dubuque. Military Honors will be accorded at 6:00p.m. by the Dubuque Marine Corps League. Private family inurnment will take place in Center Grove Cemetery.

Ken was born on October 16, 1936, to William and Cleone (Utzig) Rang in Dubuque, IA.

He was united in marriage to Darlene (Turner/Fox) on November 30, 1974.

Ken honorably served our country in the United States Army from October 6, 1955-October 6, 1958.

Ken worked at the John Deere Dubuque Works for 32 years until retiring in 1992.

In his free time, he enjoyed fishing in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Canada. He hunted big game in Alaska, Wyoming, Yukon, and British Colombia. He was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and the LA Dodgers. He played on various bowling and softball teams throughout the years as well. Ken was a proud UAW supporter. Ken was loyal patron of the West Dubuque Tap, and especially enjoyed his relationship with Genny.

Ken is survived by his wife, Darlene; children, Darby (Scott) Johnson of Olympia, WA, Lance Turner of Everett, WA, and Bret Turner of Cedar Rapids, IA; In-Laws, Sharon Fox and Gloria (Gene) Beau all of Dubuque. Grandchildren, Darrah (Joshua Kinne) Johnson and Rosalyn (Cameron Winterer) Johnson of Washington State.  And his very special nephew, John Rang of Dubuque, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, William Rang, Roger Rang, Jim Rang, Edgar Rang, Delores Osterhaus, and Irene Obbreutee.
