LaVonne L. Kueter

LaVonne L. (Scholtes) Kueter, 80, of Bellevue, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.  Funeral Mass 10:30 am, Monday, April 14, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bellevue. Visitation 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Hachmann-Mier Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue, additional visitation will be 9:00 am – 10:00 am prior to Mass at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
LaVonne was born March 27, 1945, the daughter of Floyd and Leora (Sturm) Scholtes.  She graduated from Marquette High School in 1963.  LaVonne married Ronald Kueter on October 7, 1967, he passed on March 6, 2013.  She raised her children and worked at Ensign Coil and Potters Mill for a time.  LaVonne enjoyed playing Euchre, spending time with her grandchildren, watching Iowa Hawkeye Women’s Basketball and Indiana Fever Basketball.  She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.  LaVonne will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children, Terry (Linnet) Kueter, Brian (Pamm) Kueter, and Jeanna (Mathew) Schmidt; grandchildren, Amye (Mike) Valant, Bobye (Kurt) Manning, Cathye (Jon) Redmond, Chase Kueter, Devon (Paige) Kueter, Tricia Schmidt, and Tyler Schmidt; great-grandchildren, Raelynn, Halle, Penelope, and Zayne Redmond, Parker and Kenden Valant, James and Bellamie Manning; a sister, Louann Scheckel; sisters and brother in-law, Betty Scholtes, Linda Kueter, and Jerry Schroeder; and numerous nieces and nephews.
LaVonne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; siblings and in-laws, Janet Schroeder, Roger “Shiney” (Shirley) Scholtes, Lorin Scholtes, Leonard (Becky) Scholtes, Gene Scholtes, Donald Scheckel, Patricia Kueter and David Kueter.
A memorial fund had been established in LaVonne’s memory.
