Lorilei (Lori) P. (Henneberry) Leibold, 70, of Peosta, Iowa passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at her home in Peosta, Iowa, surrounded by her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Reiff Funeral Home in Peosta, Iowa, where many memories will be told among friends and relatives.  Burial will be held at a later date.

Lori was born August 29, 1954, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of John and Mary Jo (English) Henneberry.  She is a graduate of Western Dubuque High School in Epworth, Iowa.

Lori was an avid reader and talented singer.  Lori was designated as the Henneberry gravy, stuffing and oyster stew maker for all holidays and an incredible cook in general.  She was a master at trivia making her a dominant figure at Family Game Nights. The only area others had a chance to best her was at Pictionary in which her drawings could be described as “abstract” at best. She was among the first people to wish someone a “happy birthday” or extend a “congratulations.”

Lori took pride in her home and was excellent at interior design. She was a top-notch Prankster and Jokester and will be missed for her lively spirit and infectious laugh.

Her greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her daughters, son-in-law’s, and grandsons.

Lori is survived by four daughters, Kari (Rick) Lenstra of Peosta, IA, Rebecca (Beau) Lyddon of Boulder, CO, Rachel Leibold (Cory Garrard) of  Austin, TX and Emily Leibold (Jacob Trowbridge) of Madison, WI; her grandchildren, Nick (Sarah Gabler), Ben, and Isaac Lenstra; her mother, Mary Jo Henneberry of Cascade; and her siblings, Bob (Patricia) Henneberry of Bernard, IA, Linda (Jeff) Otting, LuAnne Henneberry (Vic Klocke), Lisa (Doug) Frey all of Cascade, IA, Jan McDermott of Talent, OR, Mike Henneberry of Bernard, IA , Mary Jayne (Scott) Schlemme of Cascade, IA and Pat (Ginny) Henneberry of Asbury, IA.

She is preceded in death by her father, John Henneberry, brother-in-law Brian McDermott and several beloved Aunts and Uncles.

The family of Lori would like to thank Hospice of Dubuque for their care and support, all of her amazing and compassionate Doctors at Mercy One and also the staff at Medical Associates for taking excellent care of her.
