Lou Ann Wieneke
Lou Ann Wieneke, 96, died Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Hawkeye Care Center surrounded by her family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 3 at Resurrection Catholic Church. A visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 3 at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Funeral Home & Crematory, 2659 JFK Road. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Lou Ann was born on September 18, 1929, in New Vienna, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence and Celia (Kramer) Westhoff. She married Robert “Bob” Wieneke on January 22, 1955, in New Vienna. He preceded her in death in 1984.
After raising her three children, Lou Ann worked as a cashier at Bishop’s Buffet for nearly two decades. She later retired to spend more time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Mary (Jim) Houselog, Patti (Dick) Droessler, and Bob (Heidi) Wieneke; grandchildren, Tony (Katie) Houselog, Andy (Beth) Houselog, Beth (Charles) Harwood, Sarah (Josh) Lovik, Kristin (David) Goedken, Ryan Wieneke, and Evan Wieneke; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Chandler, Molly, Danny, Nile, MaryKate, Will, Stella, Beatrice, Azalea, Reese, Juniper, Linden, Madalyn, Jack, Mila, and Ellie; brothers, Fred Westhoff, Larry (Mary) Westhoff and Bob (Debby) Westhoff; and sister, Linda (Dennis) Vavricek.
She was also preceded in death by her great- granddaughters, Sylvia Houselog and Savannah Houselog; her parents; brothers, Dan, Dick and Bill Westhoff; and sisters-in-law, Ann, Mona and Helen Westhoff.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Dubuque or March of Dimes.
