Margaret Williams
Margaret “Peg” Williams, 79, of Dubuque, IA passed away at Stonehill Heath Center on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road. A wake service will be held at 2:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Holy Spirit Parish, Holy Ghost Catholic Church, with Rev. Raymond Burkle officiating.
Peg was born December 29, 1945, in Dodgeville, WI, the daughter of Harvey and Geneva (Otter) Reynolds. Peg married the love of her life Richard “Dick” Williams on February 13, 1965, in Dodgeville, WI. She worked as a CNA at Sunnycrest Manor for almost 40 years.
She enjoyed participating in bowling leagues for 50 years, frequent visits to the casino, crocheting afghans for family and friends, her favorite snacks of Cheetos, Pepsi and Hershey bars, camping and playing euchre, and most of all spending time with her friends and family, she attended hundreds of sporting events for her kids and grandkids. Peg was trusted to always have a crisp $20 bill in her back pocket.
Peg is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Williams; children: Jim (Denise) Williams of Dubuque, Mike (Colleen) Williams of Dubuque, Missy (Roger) Kruser of Kieler, Doug (Maegan) Williams of Mount Horeb, Jodi (Mark) Ruden of Dubuque, and Amy (Justin) Henry of Dubuque; grandchildren: Brittany (Jon) Glaser, Brianna (Corey) Siegert, Brady (Ashley) Williams, Kelly (Katie) Williams, Courtney (Jesse) Bakey, Joe Kruser, Miranda (Jerry) Lange, Allison Kruser (fiancé Derek), Rachael (Lance) Pozzi, Alexander Williams, Elijah (Lena) Williams, Nathanael, Natalie, Makaela, Caeden, Alaena, Connor, Alexa Ruden, Jackson Ruden, Lucas Ruden, Mason Henry, Alaina Henry; many great grandchildren; brothers, Sam (Dianna) Reynolds of Rock Island, IL, Phil (Lois) Reynolds of Madison, Tim (Sandy) Reynolds; sisters, Delora Hall of Reynolds, IL, and Linda Reisen of Dubuque; along with many nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law, Eleanor and Gordon Williams, grandson, Brandon Williams, siblings, Pat, Ted, Mark, Myron, Mary, and Theresa, siblings-in-law, Chuck Reisen, Jerry Hall, Steve Elliott, Joe Derrick, and Joyce Williams.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
The family would like to thank the staff at Stonehill for taking such good care of Peg, and her family over the past 10 months, we will forever be grateful.
