Marie Eleanor Carnaby Byerly Hobbs, 79 of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Dubuque passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Marie passed away surrounded by her loved ones after a couragerous battle with ovarian cancer. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Marie was born October 16, 1946 to parents John Charles Carnaby and Ruth Bernice Greene in Dubuque. She is survived by two sons, Daniel (Lisa) Barnett and Donald Byerly of Cedar Rapids and a daughter, Melissa Byerly Carnahan, also of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Lindsey, Lauren and Leah; and two brothers Robert “Bob” (Sharon) Carnaby of Las Vegas and William “Bill” (Jody) Richard and nephews, Jim Carnaby, Ron Carnaby and Jake Richard. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Jon Byerly and Allen Hobbs.

Marie will be remembered for her kindness and compassion. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
