Mary “Kathy” Bauerly, 69, of Nashville, TN, formerly of Dubuque, IA died on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at her home in Nashville.

Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home and Crematory, followed by a time for sharing words at 9:30 a.m.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Kathy will be at 10:30 am, on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Cathedral of St. Raphael with Fr. Dennis Quint as the Celebrant. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque.

Kathy was born on February 6, 1957, in Bellevue, IA, the daughter of Raymond and Mary Kathryn (Till) Beschen. On August 29, 1980, she married Jim Bauerly in Bellevue, IA.

Kathy was the proud owner and operator of her own property management company, a role she was deeply passionate about. Outside of her work, she enjoyed singing karaoke, caring for their pets, and spending time at their home in Florida. Kathy will be remembered for her strong work ethic, generous spirit, and her ornate cursive penmanship – which never ceased to draw surprise and acclaim from those first witnessing it. Above all, she found her greatest happiness in time spent with her family, especially her grandson, Devon.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Jim Bauerly of Nashville, TN; three children, Brandon (Gabriela) Bauerly of Dubuque, Brittany (Aaron) Lensch of Nashville, TN, and Briton (Briana) Bauerly of St. Louis, MO; four siblings, Joe (Deb) Beschen, Jon (Jen) Beschen, Shirley (Stan) Hachmann, and Tom (Karin) Beschen; her mother-in-law, Josephine Bauerly of Dubuque; and four sisters-in-law, Beth (Ed) Whisler, Nancy Mueller, Robin Bauerly, and Mona Bauerly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers-in-law, Ron and Bill Bauerly.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
